Bringing Offshore Wind Monopiles to the USA

EEW is building the first and largest facility for the production of monopiles for offshore wind turbines in the USA. Full production capacity of 100 monopiles a year will be reached in the second development phase by 2024. At that point, EEW AOS will employ more than 500 highly skilled workers in the clean energy sector.

As a brand new manufacturing facility, EEW AOS is able to meet challenging dimension requirements of up to 12 m for future monopiles to be installed in modern offshore wind farms.

EEW AOS is located at the port of Paulsboro, New Jersey on the Delaware River, which is the perfect port infrastructure to serve offshore projects in the USA.

By 2025, 500 long-term jobs will be created. EEW AOS has collaborated with the NJEDA and local schools to develop the skills required for the offshore wind jobs. Welding Experts of EEW SPC highly supported colleagues on site with training and knowledge sharing.

Management Statement

At EEW AOS, we are proud to be the frontrunner in establishing the offshore wind supply chain in the United States. We have secured a premier location at the Port of Paulsboro with a heavy wharf, and sufficient land to grow our manufacturing operations. We have now finalized our Phase 1 construction, and are starting our Phase 2 construction that will support end to end monopile manufacturing. With the cooperation of our German colleagues, we have established our Phase 1 manufacturing capabilities and have started production of the first monopiles in the US.  Our first mover position in the strong US market gives us confidence in a solid business for decades to come.
